FIRE DEPARTMENT OF NEW YORK CITY VFW
Mission

Our Mission:

The mission of Post #12033 falls in line with the guidelines from our National Organization.  We strive to be steadfast supporters of disabled veterans and their families.  We will never forget the fallen warriors that have gone before us.  We will always promote Americanism and Patriotism to the greater New York City area.

   Specific accomplishments include:

- The fund raising and donation of 6 hand crank bicycles to deserving disabled veterans at WRAMC, Bethesda and BAMC.

- In coordination with the Stephen Siller Foundation, we host disabled veterans to participate in the yearly Tunnel to Towers race.

- An annual rugby game in memory of FF Engeldrum and PO McNaughton.

- In coordination with the Hope for Warriors foundation, we sponsor disabled veterans at multiple events throughout NYC each year.

- Continuous support of deployed service members with mailouts of needed supplies to those serving downrange.

- The construction of a Memorial Wall at the New York City Fire Training Academy that honors all 44 FDNY members that have  made the ultimate sacrifice while serving our country in times of war.

- Multiple visits to WRAMC, Bestheda and BAMC to express out gratitude to injured service members.

We thank all who help make our mission possible!
